It’s the end of the year…Do you have money in your FSA/HSA that you are looking to spend?
Remember that your eyes are a great investment! Few of us think first of our eyes when we think of spending, but I am telling you to put them at the top of the list! Think about it, you use your eyes EVERY waking second! If you have some flex spending money leftover or are wondering if you need to put away funds for next year, let me tell you some ways you can take advantage of that tax savings to benefit your vision.
1. Glasses. Whether your glasses are a year old or 20, it is never a bad idea to get your prescription updated, or simply get a pair as a back up to your current pair or to your contacts, especially those of us that have strong prescriptions. You don’t ever want to put yourself in a situation where you don’t have your eyes working for you.
2. Contacts. Do you wear the same pair of contacts for weeks or even months on end in order to reduce the cost of wearing them…? FSA/HSA will cover contact lenses, which is wonderful for those of us whose vision insurance will only cover a certain dollar amount every other year.
Last but certainly not least
3. LASIK! This may be one of the best ways to use your FSA/HSA – give yourself the gift of freedom from glasses/contacts! Can you imagine a world where you wake up and everything is clear? No red marks on your nose from glasses, no having to take your contacts out to clean them, just open your eyes and have clear vision! I can’t stress enough how lucky we are to be living in a time where the gift (and it is a gift) of sight is possible.
Stop by any one of our four locations or give us a call at 414-271-2020 and we will gladly help you with all your vision needs!
